- Work closely with the Sodexo personnel who oversee the Stores and deliver goods to B530 and maintain dialogue with the Sodexo individual responsible for removing waste to make sure everything is labelled correctly and suitably contained.
- Maintain and monitor consumable stock in the laboratory on a weekly basis and replenish stock from the stores. Replenishment of solvent wash bottles within Lab areas. Use the EAMS stores software to replenish items remotely.
- Monitor and process waste from work areas to designated holding area. Ensure that any waste placed in white pails etc is labelled properly. Dispose of special hazardous waste items such as Karl Fisher waste and ensure they have the correct orange labelling.
- Ensure the laboratory is tidy and well organised and communicate to users the location of equipment and supplies. Ensure dirty glassware is in proper receptacles. Receive clean glassware and place in appropriate cupboards.
- Monitor glass waste bins and request removal via Mirashare once 2/3 full.
- Conduct weekly Legionella prevention flush of eye wash sinks in labs.
- Ensure stock of PPE (glasses, lab coats etc)
- Monitor all cupboards, refrigerators and freezers for expired chemicals or improperly stored items.
- Take possession of, package and ship samples and archives from Pfizer personnel via DHL website. Work with the import/export staff to ensure proper processing of shipments including hazardous goods
- Working alongside the Safety team. Attend and assist in Health and Safety Inspections. Enter lab inspection forms into Mirashare and assign actions to relevant personnel. This often involves assigning appropriate actions to self and addressing these actions in a timely manner.
- Monitor all lab equipment for PAT compliance and enter PAT requests via Mirashare. Meet with electrician to guide him/her to relevant kit
- 2-3 years’ experience within a laboratory environment, preferable with an HNC or higher in a science discipline
- GLP/GxP Training
- Health and Safety awareness, lab awareness & COSHH awareness
- Lab awareness
- Good IT skills to include all Microsoft packages
- Ability to work on own
