The People & Development Business Partner guides and supports the Accounts Director of a key WSH contract within BaxterStorey, collaborating across internal brands.
This is a hands-on role and day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Responsible for the overall management and development of all people aspects to enable delivery of the People Plan, including recruitment and selection, learning and development, talent management and succession planning, supporting the delivery of the people and talent strategy, supporting the compensation and benefits positioning, and Employee Relations.
- Manage the onboarding and induction of all senior positions across the contract.
- Conduct and manage the people and compliance audits
- Develop, design and deliver training programmes as required and support Heads of Department with training and personal development plans.
- Drive and support the increase in the location-based apprenticeships, allowing development of our internal talent.
- Conduct quarterly succession plan reviews.
- Advise Heads of Department on high level Employee Relations issues and proactively support Heads of Department in managing short and long-term absence cases.
- Co-ordinate and support the teams’ pay and bonus reviews with the correct paperwork and criteria in place.
- To be a key point of contact with any ACAS or Tribunal challenges and escalate for support as required.
- Contribute to the WSH team service delivery by being proactive, initiating ideas, projects and having an open and honest approach.
- Be the subject matter expert in line with current legislation and best practices.
- Coach Heads of Departments to improve capability in managing people related issues, through training, including classroom style and webinars.
- Provide the Account Director and Head of People with a monthly report for each contract they are involved in.
What will YOU bring to the table?
- Evidence of continuing professional development e.g. working towards or attained CIPD
- Experience of dealing with complex Employee Relations cases e.g. disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, absence management
- Commercially focused
- Service focused (high quality people support service to clients, managers and our teams)
- Ability to develop great working relationships, establishing mutual trust and respect and challenging the status quo
- Experience within professional services environment desirable but not essential
- Experience of PeopleSoft systems desirable
