- Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to all Mechanical systems where suitably trained within the establishment.
- Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance to all other systems where suitably trained within the establishment.
- Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report in detail any substandard or defective equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance servicing on Mechanical systems and fixtures.
- Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
- All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ensure Health and Safety policies are always adhered to.
- Undertake duties as required that contribute to the effective operation of the prison.
- Carry out on call procedures, and participate in the on-call rota, taking appropriate action in support of this requirement.
- Work in accordance with Sodexo’s policies and procedures.
- Must be willing to undertake emergency first aid training if not already qualified.

- Trade Qualified in Plumbing/Mechanical
- Provide proven experience of Gas/Water installations and maintenance services.
- Previous experience of completing L8 checks as per ACOP L8 & HSG 274
- Show ability to problem solve and be creative
- Demonstrate team values and a positive attitude
- Participate in training as required to keep up to date with all mandatory and refresher training
- Previous experience within a similar role.
