This is a mobile role with regular travel that covers the south excluding London & the south-east.

- Someone with a keen interest in training and developing people.
- Strong track record of delivering projects on time
- Must be a strong self-starter with the ability encourage others and build teams
- Experienced food safety professional
- Food Safety – Level 4
- NEBOSH General certificate
- BSc(Hons) Environmental Health (Desirable)
Food, Health and Safety Manager requirements:
- Responsible for driving and delivering the strategic Health & Safety agenda within your region.
- Provide professional food safety, health &safety and related support as required
- Support during the investigation of all accidents, alerts and near misses, ensuring these are recorded and processed in line with company procedures in a timely manner. Also ensuring electronic systems (Prime)are updated accordingly.
- Support Operations to provide supporting information for the WSH Claims and Health and Safety Coordinator in the event of an insurance claim, in a timely manner.
- Responsible for developing, engaging and rolling out safety initiatives and information in a systematic and timely way to meet the company’s, clients’ and customers’ expectations.
- Influence and lead on the implementation of safety initiatives such as; 5 Star Housekeeping
- Take the lead on communicating safety messages inappropriate formats, in a timely manner, including chairing meetings, presentations, newsletters and safety notices. Engaging members of the Senior Management Team, to ensure Safety is a business objective
- Implement plans to deliver solutions and interventions that deliver Health and safety skills at contract and location level, Identify strengths, weaknesses and gaps within the business
- Investigate and where directed lead on investigating alleged food poisoning investigations and food safety related complaints
- Proactively encourage, influence and coach across different levels with the business ensuring engagement and development in relation to safety performance
